It's not just crocs: Guy

GUY Sebastian wants to show a different side of Australia when he competes for the World Idol crown later this month.
Guy wants the world to know more about Australia.
"They (Australians) are not all like the crocodile hunter," the 21-year-old man with the afro said, laughing off images of "kangaroos bouncing around in the streets and ... Akubras".
"Australians are balanced people ... so it will be cool to represent the other side as opposed to just the ocker."
Sebastian shot to national stardom after winning the popular Australian Idol reality television series last month.
He has since proved a television competition can create a pop star, storming to the top of the Australian single charts with his first song, Angels Brought Me Here.
He beat fellow Idol contestant Shannon Noll during a national phone poll last month, securing a recording contract with record label BMG Australia. Noll, 27, from Condobolin in NSW, has since been signed to the same label.
Sebastian will jet off to London on December 13 to compete against other Idol winners from across the globe in a World Idol contest to be screened around Christmas time.
The show will include British winner Will Young, American Idol Kelly Clarkson and other Idol series winners from Australia, South Africa, Poland, Netherlands, Germany, Norway, the Middle East, Belgium and Canada.
But Sebastian has not had any spare time to size up his competition.
"To me this is just an amazing opportunity to meet people who have gone through the same things that I have been through and I will be able to ask them how they dealt with stuff," he said.
And if he wins World Idol?
"I don't know - I am sort of trying to process the every day at the moment," he said.
"I generally don't think much until it is happening because there has been quite a bit to digest, so I think I will deal with it when I get there."
If sales of his debut single are anything to go by, Sebastian is in with a good chance.
The song became the fastest-selling single in chart history earlier this week, selling 128,000 copies after only seven days.
Following a week of long days and nights in the studio, Sebastian's debut album Just As I Am is due to be released nationally on Monday.
"I had about six days to finish it so it was a very hectic six days but quite a productive six days," he said.
Sebastian wrote three of the 12 tracks on the album - more than he was expecting.
"I thought it would be very manufactured ... I did not think I would have much (say in it) but BMG has been amazing and just given me so much say," he said.
Sebastian, who is as well known for his trademark afro hairstyle as his music, will launch the album during a week of national tour dates starting in Sydney on December 7.
