From Midsummer - she's a dear.
It didn't seem to work properly, so probably not at all for others.
Here it is
I have read all the concert reports and for the most part ditto for Adelaide's concerts so it's kinda pointless doing the usual rundown. Wednesday's concert was a bit of a blur we were centre and 4 rows from the front `great seats' met up with Nutra, Jo, Rach and Kim but I guess I'll jump straight to last night (Thursday)
I'm not good at concert reports but I'll give it a go and maybe do it a bit different to let you know how I was feeling (as a Guy fan) being in this hyped concert atmosphere.
Standing in the foyer before the concert I was looking around at all the people and out of curiosity wondering who's fans were who. For some it was obvious but the audience for Thursday's concert was VERY different to Wednesday's. Wednesday's concert had a sprinkling of children and families but the greater crowd was made up of teens and older. Dicko said that the Adelaide concert (which was sold out in 3 hours) was the fastest selling of all the concerts. Anyway looking at the VERY family orientated audience I thought to myself that the die hard Guy fans had gone on the first night and this would be a very spread audience.
We walked around for a bit (we were quite early) then Angels came through the foyer speakers and we realised that Guy was doing a sound check. Cindi ran down to the doors and tried to get in lol but of course the doors were locked. We passed our phone around to Guy fans and voted heaps for CEM We did this lots of times with different Guy fans and they promised us they would play it but maybe they didn't even have a copy of the single. Anyway then we were in our seats (front row middle) and I gazed around at the audience and mum and I pondered the high possibility that most of the die hard Guy fans had made sure of their tickets and went to the first concert. Not that it mattered because it was an Idols concert but being in his hometown we were hoping for a similar reception to Wednesday nights - when everyone just went through the roof 10 fold for Guy.
Anyway I had my Guy sign and it was great because instead of holding it up every now and again I could just hang it over the panel in front of us. I was interested in who got the best/least cheers when they first came on and it was a quite interesting because except for Guy and Shannon it was a little different both nights. I actually think Shannon got a much bigger cheer on the second night. But when Guy came on it was sheer pandemonium bringing the entire stadium to it's feet. I can't imagine how our boy must have felt. Being so close was beyond amazing and I was lost in his presence. All those cute little looks, funky moves – passion, emotion and exuberance –<br> Not that I'm sure anyone cared but I felt kinda bad when the group numbers were on because for me it could have been a one man show. My eyes never moved from Guy. It is so cute watching Guy when he thinks the focus is off him (so many snapshots that could be added to the `Guy's cutest moments' list). I don't want to give the impression that I didn't get into the concert because I actually loved it and bopped along with the best of `em when Guy wasn't there. My Guy sign was hanging over the fence/railing almost throughout – I don't know why but I actually felt a little bad when Shannon was singing his last song – me being in the front row and clutching my Guy poster all night (loving Guy so much doesn't mean I dislike or don't wish anyone else every success possible) so at one point I blew Shannon a kiss and he gave me the thumbs up.
Yes the concert was fantastic but for me it was all about guy and whenever he was on stage I just floated off in my little Guy bubble.
Both nights the highlight for me was Guy singing Angels, his pause at the piano, his passion and emotion ….. but the two moments I will never forget is when he left the piano and walked to the front of the stage and took about a minute to slowly take his gaze over the entire stadium - the crowd standing arms outstretched and screaming at the top of their voices. I have never seen or felt anything quite like it. We could see the tears glistening in his eyes and we just wanted to engulf him with our love **** ***OUR BOY WAS HOME *** ****

That was the best part of the night for me. When he left the piano, everyone was screaming and stomping their feet on the stands and waving their arms in their air...and the look on Guy's face made me want to cry! He was just beaming from ear to ear, you'd never seen such happiness on anyone's face before.
It was so beautiful!
