BUT NO-ONE CAN COMPARE TO OUR GORGEOUS GUY. So true. Without a word of bias, Guys voice leaves all those contestants for dead.

You reckon? I think the standard in america is incredibly good. There are so many singers in there top 12 with amazing voices (Diana, George, Latoya, Fanastasia, Jasmin, Jennifer even) It's hard to seperate the best at this stage. I don't know it might just be me, but I think the American's top 12 is definently stronger than ours from last year. Don't get me wrong I don't mind Guys voice, but i prefer all of the above singers voices to Guys.

There are so many singers in there top 12 with amazing voices (Diana, George, Latoya, Fanastasia, Jasmin, Jennifer even) Bella ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, it's comments like the above that I just don't get! The fantastic voices: Diana, George, LaToya, Fantasia, Jennifer. What's Jasmine doing in there? She's good-very good, but nowhere near fantastic. I just don't get it. Anyway, that's my Jasmine-is-overrated rant of the day . And I agree with you Bella, actually, in that I prefer George, Fantasia and Jennifer (if she'd tone it down)'s voices over Guy's. I love his talent, but I wish Guy would sing lower.

I think the overall quality of the American Idol contestants outshines the Australian Idol contestants (by a long way!) but I still prefer Guy over any of them. Just my opinion though. Although the thing I liked about Australian Idol is that most people were so different in style. On American Idol everyone seems to be rather similar...or at least the girls are anyway. So no matter how good they mare be, it's all getting a bit tiresome.

I really want Diana to win for some reason. She's got an outstanding voice. I think I'm a bit biased towards her though, since I'm practically her age.

Bazza saw the last show live, he said Diana had the audience jumping up and down and the applause for her was deafening. I am one of those who think Guy is better than their best they are so samey.

Of course you know the German. It made its way into the english vernacular from german in the same way "de rigueur" did from french. Early on it was used by trendy journo's to demonstrate how hip they were but in the last few years the public has caught on. Basically in english it means " The ultimate, above all, the best, top, something that nothing is better than, super, ultra, superior" eg the uber bar is the best bar (there is actually a place called this in Sydney which I thought was very clever); uber confused is very confused. It is used as both an intensifier and an adjective. I think gamers also use it to mean something like Awesome.
