I still think Fantasia is the best. I am not sure what they see in La Toya as her voice does not strike me as unique. Matt is boring and Karaoke. Camille could be excellent if she gets over her nerves. George is just lovely and his confidence is building. John Peter Lewis is fun but I can't see him winning. I love Jennifer a sexy, sassy bundle of fun and I love her ballsy voice. Amy I don't thimk will last long and now I find her squeaky speaking betty boop voice annoying. Leah was gorgous but maybe a bit young, could do well in the future, but she was offkey for me. John Stevens is different but this is pop idol and I don't think he will make it to the top five. I really liked Jasmine she has a nice attitude and beautiful voice. That is my opinion, who knows what will happen not sure how the U.S public will vote, so far it seems they have gone for personality. Still it does seem like it will be a 2 horse race, namely La Toya and Fantasia. As for Fantasia's attitude, I think she has a look about her that says don't mess with me but every time I have seen her speak she has been lovely. And if she knows she can sing well, thats great...........whats wrong with believing in yourself.

I agree with Simon. Jasmine was superb. She has been very good in the competition so far and is improving with increasing confidence. For now, I'd like to see her and Camille go to the final two.
Simon is on the money with most of the contestants although I can't see the talent or appeal of John Stevens.
Leah was a aberration, just like Lauren was. They should have picked Suzie as the wild card.

Hey pulp.
Nice to see you back. I used to enjoy your posts. I haven't really been watching American Idol. How's it compare?

American Idol is really similar and worth watching. The problem is that we get a really delayed telecast - the show is actually live in the US on Tuesday night and we get it on Sunday night in Australia - so we don't get to vote. Can't wait until AussieIdol 2 starts because half the fun is voting!

Hi, 4213, I am just a casual watcher. Couldn't bear watching more than a few minutes of the auditions at any one time, too mickey-mouse for me. The drama and competition seems to be hotting up so I may watch a bit closer now. The drawback is that more of my brain cells will die watching and listening to the judges esp Paula and the insufferable Randy, only Simon is intermittently exciting (because he bites hard when it counts, ssss. "snake hissing sound" I miss the Aussie judges, even Holden!

Plus the delayed telecast means that I spoil myself silly
