Jess, I think we may have seen the same clip on TV. It mentioned William now has a bit of a cult following - and he's singing in stadiums before big basketball games. (Yes, Shebang, Shebang - I saw it with my own eyes).
It's because he's got so much personality, and when he said " i have had no professional training', it was like - 'and see how good I still am?'...... yet with total innocence about how he sounded.

whilst i luv this guy and think hes adorable i still think it would be unfair to put him in the wildcard show . hes a great guy but american idol are gonna want someone more serious i think like rueben and kelly .there are other contestants with better voices that should deseve to be in the wildcards instead of good old william
but then again i may be wrong

Yeah its a great site. It's fantastic that people loved him so much from just seeing that little performance on a television program that it inspired them enough to go out and make an entire website dedicated to him.
Now I still think that Australia shouldda followed the Americans league and done the same for our little Asian friend Michael Chan!
For those of u who don't know wat I'm talkin about, check out the Aussie Idol Uncut dvd... Michael's a champ! Him and William should start a double act ;D

FYI darlings: This season's biggest ``American Idol'' loser, William Hung, may be a winner after all, E!Online reports. Betting that his fame will last a bit longer than 15 minutes, the Fuse network and Koch Entertainment have offered the 20-year-old college student a $25,000 recording and music-video contract. Hung is expected to sign by next week; the five- or six-song mini-album will be on sale three weeks after that.
