Hi Sash, Hi Meeks Bad luck that you didn't get through. Meeks - at 27 it may be your last year to try out for Idol but you have at least another 27 to make it yourself anyway.. look at all the fantastic singers out there that transcend all kinds of perceived barriers or other people's paradigms. Oz Idol's just one show. Great to be part of no doubt... but it's still just one show. That guy in the carpark gave you good advice, it will all help build confidence and stage presence. Good luck! Sash - wow, you seem really confident but not cocky. Great combination. You rock. You look fantastic and your personality shines through your posts. I think you said you were 17 (?) - I really hope this board is still going this time around next year and we see you posting that you have auditioned again, and have that coveted pink slip!

;D ;D ;D
Sash - you are such a beautiful person and the way you have delt with this awsome. I know that this has been such a learning experience and you will have more to go with Next year. I am so proud of you and your courage to keep persisting, I love that you have that much faith in yourself. It tells me that you will make it one day because you are not willing to let one set back stop you from reaching your dream.
Girl what more can i say, we will be looking out for you in the future.
Meeks,
thanks for sharing your experience with us. It must have been diappointing not to be given feedback. I think you have a wonderful attitude about seeking other avenues. Please let us know if you get a GIG so we can support you. Just because you didn't make it to Idol doesn't mean we stop giving you all the encouragement we can to see you acheive your dream. We are all behind you so please keep us up to date on how things are going.
I wish you all the very best.
TO the both of you, follow your heart and don't let anyone say you can't, because when you believe in yourself anything can happen. **and we believe in you too**
xxBo

Oh my word Sashy poo, I am so damn proud of you!!!!!!!
What an awesome effort.
Now that’s oozing confidence for you!!!!! Looks like my lame effort for you to go with confidence was unnecessary, you are so clever to have done what you did. They will remember you!!
You know what, here’s a hit prediction for ya. We will see you on idol at some stage over the next few years.
You have the determination and drive that it takes to get through.
I'm so happy you did so well. Sounds to me like you kicked butt.
Well done honey.
Meeks,I don’t know you but, good on you too for getting out there and giving it a go!
How amazing that you had the opportunity to experience everything you did, what a great once in a lifetime opportunity you grabbed hold of. Either way, if you love singing, and do it as well as you have described you are going to go far.
Good on you guys, these were great reads, and thank you for sharing them with us all.

let me say what everyone is thinking... you're a loser!
and anyone that is going to post and say "we don't think that sash" and "you are so brave" you can't honestly say that even a small part of you thinks she is a loser!

I can honestly say that no part of me thinks sash is a loser
ps. Let's try not to over-react to that last post and ruin sash's thread. Obviously someone fishing for a reaction

Actually, I (like many others here) aren't that hostile! I'll give props when I see fit ;D There is nothing wrong with a bit of determination to fulfil one's dreams! We'll see how far you get with your negativity and lack of ambition

To 'oh please', Here's my response:- Sash knows us better than to believe that. I hope none of your friends are unsuccessful at trying out this year! That is all I can say.

let me say what everyone is thinking... you're a loser! and anyone that is going to post and say "we don't think that sash" and "you are so brave" you can't honestly say that even a small part of you thinks she is a loser! I would actually like to thank 'oh please' for adding a little controversy to my thread. I have always wondered what it would be like to have someone insult me in public as opposed to thinking it behind my back. Even though I don't know you 'oh please' so therefore, it wouldn't matter to me what you thought about my story. I would also like to thank you for aiming at me & not Meeks, because I'd rather be a target for insults instead of people who I care for. I read the above post & laughed because I have to admit that I did think that I was a loser after walking out of the first audition - maybe I still should, but I don't because I have a little saying (that is a bit cleche) but it has helped me to stay sain. "Every thing happens for a reason." Or I could have said just look at the bottom of my signature. So, 'oh please' if you ever post here again, reveal your real name so I can personally thank you for making me laugh at your very comical claim at the people of this forum. Please, my faithful & HONEST friends of this forum, please don't attack this person (although I am very grateful for those who are defending me) for their comments because every one is entitled to their own opinion & I happened to think that 'OH PLEASE' comments were comical.

I feel so blessed to have so many people supporting my actions, attitude & determination. Thank you all for having so much faith in me, your messages are amazing especially considering that I don't know a lot of you very well. Thank you & I love you all! ;D ;D ;D

hi sash;
congats on being so determined; you gave it more than your best shot, and you rock for that.
You definately deserve to succeed in anything you do. cuase you have the passion and the drive....
its too bad you dont live in sydney, a lot of really talanted singers miss out on oportunities like this, becuse of reasons other than thier voice; which is why im teaching a once off workshop this year to make sure people give thier best performance; i would have liked to meet you to see if it was perhaps something other than your voice that didnt blow them away. (since you got good feedback on your voice i doubt that was the reason.)
if you decide to fly to sydney and try again. you can come to that class of mine for free. (although i doubt even you are o.c. enough to fly all that way for one lil' audition.)

I really appreciate it when strangers respond to my post. I've kept your email address & I'm about to email you very soon. I can't say that I will be able to fly to Sydney for your workshop though, I do have friends in Sydney that I would love to see but I'm going through a rough patch with money so that's another problem. Sorry! I'd really like to keep in touch though!
