I have noticed that people I know in real life (not online) that are talking about the whiole idol show and its singers being 'manufactured' are following a crowd at work, their social pub group - and that they really have no genuinely constructive opinion of their own.

Their comments are dismissive and after a little digging, you'll find they have big dreams of their own and don't like the thought of anyone getting anything the way the winners of AI have.

listen up 'anrott' >:( guy sebastian is one of the best performers this country has to offer and we dont need people like you putting the australian musical market down. it is hard enough as it is for australian talent to make in this country when all they're doing is supporting american music when we should be ambracing our own home grown stuff first. get a life and get your ears cleaned out if you cant tell how tlented guy is you moron. next time keep your nasty comments where they belong to urself. :-X

What's the matter with you people dissing Guy, his voice is amazing, his moves are cool, he does write a lot of his own songs so leave him the hell alone!!!! >:(

You claim that Guy doesn't play any instruments? At his concert he played the piano for two of his songs whilst singing and I play piano and I know that he was doing it correctly not just being a poser. Also on channel [v] he had an interview with Andrew G on 50 minutes and he was sitting at a piano and just played some of his song on the spot. And Guy is more talented than most No.1 people are. Like Britney Spears mimes at all her concerts! Guy wrote 10 out of 14 of the songs on his album and if Guy wasn't talented and was manufactured then Thicke, Mya and Brian McKnight wouldn't have agreed to work with him. Guy is great whether you choose to admit it or not. And putting him down for thanking God? That's really low. Now you're going to judge someone on their beliefs? You don't deserve to live then.

Also you try and sing along to one of Guy's songs and try and do the licks he does. You will see how hard it is to sing right and how crap you are compared to him. ::)

Sorry Drop It!!

We get these type of post about Guy from time to time. Obviously, it is best just to ignore them. But we just respect Guy and his musical ability SO MUCH that it is very hard not to defend him!! He has a large base of support here!! Just don't you worry!! Go to the Australian Idol 1 section!! That's where we post mainly.

see where he got a US contract - the US Sony exec. saw and heard him in late 2007 (before the Memphis Tour with Steve Cropper, Duck Dunn and the MGS) and decided thats who he wanted for the US.

Good on him, he's done the pre-Grammys now, and attending the Grammys with the guys. He's mates with John Mayer and David Ryan Harris, and has the support of some great musicians.

I can't believe how juvenile we all were back then 2006! :lol: sure is a scream reading all this again.
